Consigning at Cottontails

We accept clothing, baby gear, toys, and more!

All items must be:

 

  • Freshly cleaned and in excellent condition

  • Have all pieces including working batteries

  • Have been purchased new in the past couple of years

 

You receive 40% of the final selling price (50% for any items priced over $50) and can get a check or use as store credit.

Clothing is accepted seasonally.  Spring starts in January: think springy colors, rain gear, light pants and tops, tshirts, capris, spring dresses, etc.  Fall begins in July and we'll be looking for jeans, flannels, hoodies, darker colors and heavier materials.

​We accept newborn up to around size 16, and maternity.  If you're looking to sell misses or women's clothing check out these other shops. 

 

Present your items freshly washed, neatly folded with sets together & buttons buttoned. Please no hangers or shoe boxes unless they are brand new.  (Some dressier items may be on hangers to prevent wrinkling).

How to Bring in Clothing

Clothing is accepted through our Drop & Donate option only. 

For Drop & Donate, You may bring in a maximum of 30 pieces of clothing, up to 2x per month.   Be sure to pre-sort your items and bring us your best 30.

We will look through your items at later time and donate anything that we cannot accept for sale.

​

*We temporarily suspend intake of clothing when we need to get caught up with backlogged inventory or are in-between seasons, so always check the status prior to coming in (see below).*

​Ask an employee for a contract. First-time clothing consignors have the option to pick up unaccepted items so you get a better feel for what we accept. Please alert an employee if this is your preference. Otherwise, unaccepted items will be donated.

Items we do not accept:
  • Slippers
  • Onesies
  • Incomplete infant outfits
  • Bargain brands (Circo, Garanimals, etc)
  • Older items/hand-me-downs.**

All items must be free of:

  • Stains

  • Odors

  • Pet hair

  • Holes/tears

  • Signs of wear, etc.  

  • Wrinkles

  • In excellent condition and cleaned

  • Have all pieces (including working  batteries)

  • Fairly current (ideally no more than a couple of years old)

​

  • Up to date on all safety standards

Age restrictions will vary by item.  Feel free to call with questions. 

​

**We do not accept cribs or bedding sets, diaper genies, opened board games, stuffed animals or room decor. 

Certain sets or toys with lots of parts may not be accepted.**

Please call or email us to schedule a drop off.  We do not accept walk-ins for these items, but can usually fit customers in within a day or two depending on our needs and schedule.
